Mark.JPG (57977 bytes)

Mark Taylor (keyboard) - "Mark’s consistent and tastefully thought-out style of playing displays a true understanding of the importance of spacing and placement.  He knows my favorite concept of less as more.  I’m thrilled that he will also be mixing all the tracks on my upcoming album.  His work as my production assistant has been invaluable.  In addition to his creative side, he has a willingness to share his technical know-how and shed light on the gazillion miscellaneous questions I throw at him all the time.  Musically, he gets where I’m coming from.  Generally, he just gets it.”

Emekb&w.JPG (17673 bytes)

Emek Rave (bass) - "Emek is truly gifted with a way of making his bass sing such beautiful melodies and he's one of the few I know that takes many of my vocal phrasings and works it in to his line.  Any singer will tell you how gratifying it is to be listened to in this way.  It doesn’t even matter if I will never get to fully understand the complexity of the mind from which his philosophical banter fountains.”

Darcy.jpg (37217 bytes)

Darcy Macrae (drums) - "Canadian D-Man's timing is impeccable.  He's as solid a drummer as they come and he lives the meaning of the word ‘groove’ but often when we rehearse I have to look down or face the other way because he always makes me crack up when I'm trying my hardest to be the serious bandleader.  Watching him can be a fun and quite theatrical experience."

Greg.jpg (46100 bytes)

Greg Petito (guitar) - "Greg moved to NY from Texas and in just a short time here he’s become such a sought after musician that if he works 10 gigs a week, it’s probably a sucky week for him.  He'll take on any genre with ease but you get a real dose of his true passion and skill when he bursts into one of his jazzed out John Scofieldesque improvs while slumped back on a couch after having had no sleep for 48 hours."
